The definitive collection of Poetry in English. Contains over 1800 poems by 355 poets. While the representation of Australian and female poets is a little sparse, this anthology definitely lays the ground-work for future study of poetry. The book is is almost worthwhile for Jon Stallworthy's essay Versification alone. The only real problem with this anthology is that its sheer size (around 2100 pages) makes it difficult to cuddle up to on a rainy night.
